I understand your wifes dismay. I think as a mother, my greatest fear is my children. Although I do agree that we are in a terrible economic time, I would like to point out that it is democrats as well as republicans that led us to the place we are at. That being said, if I looked deep within myself and what is important to me, it is to keep our country safe. That is why I support Mccain. There is no race agenda to it, I have spent my whole life trying to be open minded in all areas. Who am I to judge anyone. But as the terminator said the other night, John Mccain spent more years as a POW than Obama has spent in the senate really saids it all to me. It wont matter if we get more money, everyone keeps their homes, if I have a new car, if we don't have freedom without fear, it all becomes useless. I look at Mccain as a father figure and I do believe he would lay his life down for Americans, he has proven that. Would Obama? That is the real million dollar question....... I agree that discrediting a person based on their race or sex is ignorant and sad. However, I cannot in good conscience vote for Obama. You criticize those who are basing their decisions on fear, but people have the right to be afraid. Obama is ultra liberal, supporting as one already mentioned abortion and gay marriage, he is very socialist (redistribution of wealth is NOT FAIR), and lets not forget...has NO EXECUTIVE EXPERIENCE! Yes, we need change. No, McCain is not a perfect solution. But change for the sake of change is short sighted. Be careful, because you may just get what you ask for...change happens for the worse too, not just for the best. The kind of change Obama wants to ram down people's throats may provide some temporary relief for the middle class, but ultimately we'll be in worse shape.
